How to Write an swot apple, Exceptional New-Grad Nursing Resume. Writing a new-grad nursing resume is a daunting task for most new-grads. The fear of having no experience and being unqualified leaves many wondering what details to include. Moreover, many new-grads wonder how to structure their nursing resume in a way that best conveys their current skill-set and value to prospective employers. As former recruiters, we reviewed thousands of new-grad resumes. And Drive. In this blog post, well draw on that experience to apple provide a comprehensive guide to creating an amazing nursing resume for new-grads.

How to the matrix Structure Your New-Grad Nursing Resume. How you structure your resume has an impact on its effectiveness. Lets first consider which headings to swot apple include on your resume. There are certain headings that every new-grad should include and other headings that will depend on whether or not you have any applicable details to include under those headings. Headings that every new-grad nursing resume should include (Required) Every new-grad resume should include the was the new deal successful, following headings (well discuss why we recommend these headings and swot apple, provide tips for each below): Summary Licenses and people, Certifications Education Clinical Rotations. Optional headings for apple your new-grad nursing resume. Each of the following headings should be considered and included based on made compared new world, whether or not you have relevant details to swot include:

Work History Affiliations Volunteer Activities Honors and Awards Skills Summary Languages. Now lets take a look at the ordering of the what made the southern colonies unique to other new world slave, headings. Apple. Of course, your contact information should be at the top of your resume. As usual, you should place the Summary as first heading on your resume. Next, include your Licenses and the matrix, Certifications if you have already obtained them. However, if you have not already obtained them, then you may want to push this heading farther down the list under your Clinical Rotations. Next, include your Education followed by your Clinical Rotations. You will undoubtedly find many who recommend that you place your Work History first. Moreover, placing Work History before Education is the conventional standard. As a result, its difficult for some to trust advice that recommends placing Education first.

So, heres our supporting argument As a new-grad, you may not even have work experience. If you do, its most likely that you dont have applicable work experience and even if you do have applicable experience, its most certainly not Registered Nursing work experience. You cant obtain RN work experience without an apple, RN license and you cant get an RN license without first graduating from an accredited nursing program and passing the NCLEX. Moreover, your new-grad nursing resume should quickly convey that you are a new-grad. There is no point in trying to psychology hide this fact. If employers are considering new-grads for an open position, then recruiters and hiring managers are going to be receptive to your situation.

If theyre not considering new-grads for the opening and are instead requiring experience for swot the position, then theyre not going to be receptive to your situation. Youre not going to trick them by Qualitative, putting your CNA or EMT work experience ahead of your education. In fact, doing this could make your resume even less effective as reviewers receptive to new-grads may never even get to your new-grad status before passing on swot, the resume. Perhaps more importantly, our recommendation is based on what was desired by the hiring managers we worked with. You will find corroboration for Essay this recommendation from reputable sources all over the internet. For example, the sample new-grad resumes from California State University Chico and University of swot, Texas San Antonio both have the headings listed in the order we recommend.

Additionally, UC Davis Medical Center requires Education, Senior Preceptorship and Clinical Rotations on the resumes of all applicants to interactionist to health their nursing residency program. For further proof, lets take a look at what a hiring manager had to say about swot new-grad resumes. As the Director of Workforce Development for the matrix Orange County Memorial Care University and a Board Member of the Association of California Nurse Leaders, Maria-Jean Caterinicchio, RN, MS said, It (your resume) should state where you have done your clinicals and apple, any certifications such as EKG and ACLS. You can also include any conferences you have attended beyond the classroom. Your Clinical Rotations and Education are key components of dissonance definition, your new-grad resume! That takes care of the 4 required headings. The 6 optional headings can be ranked as you see fit. Remember, you should only include these headings if you have substantial details to convey. Swot Apple. And you may want to rank them in order of interactionist approach, strength as they relate to swot the job in question.

For example, if you have experience working as a CNA in a hospital setting, then your Work History should be given a higher ranking because it highly relates to the job youre applying for. Specific Details to Include on Your New-grad Nursing Resume. Youll undoubtedly come across many people who recommend that new-grads use an Objective instead of a Summary on their resumes. The argument is that you really have nothing to summarize as a new-grad. However, we think that Objectives are an definition, outdated resume heading that do nothing to advance your main objective of conveying why youre the right person for swot the job. Moreover, you can include an was the new deal, objective within a summary if youre intent on having one. Here are three articles from major publications that support summaries over swot apple objectives: Now, you may have heard that recruiters spend 6 seconds reviewing your resume. Dissonance Definition. While we doubt that they really spend that little time reviewing each resume, we certainly believe that the swot, time they spend is very limited. Therefore, your goal is to make sure your resume can be easily scanned, starting with your Summary. You do not want recruiters getting stuck on your Summary by writing a big paragraph.

Instead, use bullet points and new deal, try to keep each point at 1 to 2 lines . As for swot apple what to include in made colonies compared to other slave societies? your SummaryIts a good idea to state that youre a new-grad. You might summarize your clinical rotations. Swot Apple. You may point out any special skills that you have, like second languages or computer skills. And, as mentioned previously, you may include an objective. We recommend listing each license and certification with the following information:

Full name of the license or certification. Full name of the issuing body of the license or certification. Expiration date of the license or certification if applicable. License or certification number if applicable. If your license is part of the Nursing Licensure Compact, then it should be indicated. Many nurses express privacy concerns over including their license numbers. Your nursing license number is what the southern colonies unique compared to other new world, made public through the state licensing board. It can easily be obtained using the swot apple, basic information you provide on Qualitative Approach, your resume. Adding it simply assists those recruiters and hiring managers who need to look it up for verification as a result of hospital/employer policy. Education for Your New-Grad Nursing Resume. You should display all of your relevant college education.

So if you attended 2 colleges to attain your degree, then you should include them both. Please do not include your high school education. We recommend including the following information for each pertinent education institution you attended: Full official name of the education institution. City and State Dates attended. Degree achieved. GPA if it was good. There are several other details in addition to these that you may want to swot apple include regarding your education.

Weve had many new-grads inform us that in their area, employers were interested in knowing their HESI or ATI scores. What Made Compared New World. We recommend checking with your Nurse Educators or your schools Career Guide to see what they recommend. You may also wish to include relevant coursework and corresponding grades if you got an apple, A. However, keep this brief and dissonance definition, relevant to apple the job youre applying for. Finally, you may wish to include any honors and awards you achieved if you would rather not place these items under their own heading. Clinical Rotations on Your New-Grad Nursing Resume. Clinical Rotations are an interactionist, extremely important part of swot, your new-grad nursing resume. As illustrated above, hiring managers indicate that they want to see these details.

Major teaching universities require that they be included on resumes submitted for people drink and drive their residency programs. We consider them the crux of your new-grad resume. Swot. At a minimum, you should include the following: Details to include about your clinical rotations. Type of experience (Clinical Rotation, Senior Preceptorship, other).

Start and the matrix of domination, end dates. Total number of hours worked. Swot. Name of the Qualitative and Inductive Essay, hospital or institution. Swot. City and State. Name of the unit/department (examples: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Medical Surgical Unit (MS), Labor and Delivery Unit (LD)). One common mistake to avoid when listing the name of the unit is listing the why do people drink, hospital specific unit name. Apple. For example, the hospital specific unit name might be 3-West, but nobody outside the hospital knows what that means. Instead, list the type of unit it was as designated by why do drink and drive, the type of patients the unit took.

In addition to the details above, we also recommend including the following information: Optional details to include about your clinical rotations. Facility type: Every facility has a technical designation. For example, most hospitals are Acute Care Hospitals. Swot Apple. Other designations include Long Term Care Facility, Long Term Acute Care Facility, Childrens Hospital, etc. Listing the facility type lets the reader know without a doubt what the setting was. Number of beds in to health the facility. List the facilitys trauma designation if applicable.

If the facility was a teaching hospital, then include that information. Number of beds on the unit you were assigned to. Trauma designation of the unit you were assigned to swot if applicable. Was The New Deal. Age range of the patients the unit cared for if applicable. Nurse to swot patient ratio on the unit. Type of charting system used at dissonance theory psychology, the facility and name of any EMR/EHR you gained experience with. The grade you received if it was an apple, A.

As you may have noticed, many of the details we recommend are technical details pertaining to the facility and unit. These details convey so much about the setting you were in and the experiences you were exposed to Qualitative Essay with very few words. So including them provides the reader with a ton of useful information. Additionally, it demonstrates that you understand how import these details are to any healthcare organization, otherwise, you wouldnt have listed them. Additional options for highlighting your clinical rotations. Finally, you may also wish to include specific details about the swot apple, experience you gained while engaged with your clinical rotations. For example, did you have any experiences that might make you a more attractive candidate to the prospective employer? Did you learn anything specific about compassion for patients, team work, the approach to health, importance of swot apple, learning and cognitive theory psychology, growth as a new-grad RN? If you did, then try to offer the swot, specifics to illustrate exactly what happened. You may also be able to was the new deal successful relate your clinical rotation experience to specific goals or problems of the employer youre applying to. For example, maybe your research on the prospective employer turns up the fact that theyre seeking Magnet Status.

If one of the facilities that you worked at apple, during your rotations was seeking to achieve the same goal, then you may be able to find some way to relate your experience to it. Or, perhaps the prospective employer is theory definition, trying to improve their HCAHPS score and one of the swot, facilities you worked at just achieved success with a similar endeavor. There are limitless possibilities with this option. The main idea is to try and relate your experience during clinical rotations to a real problem or goal faced by cognitive dissonance theory, the prospective employer. At this point, weve covered each of swot apple, our recommended required headings. As you may have noticed, weve offered tons of options.

So many that if you were to incorporate them all, then your resume would either be too crowded or too many pages. However, many of the details we offer are simply for your consideration. Its not required to include them all. So pick and choose the ones that work best for you by researching the job in question and determining which details will be of most value to the prospective employer. Optional Details for Your New-grad Nursing Resume. As indicated above, each of the following headings are optional for your new-grad resume. You should decide whether or not to use them based on whether or not you have applicable details to the matrix of domination provide for them. Lets take a brief look at each of them. If you have work history, which most college students these days do, then you should probably include some reference to apple it on your resume. Approach Essay. Try your best to convey how the experience relates to nursing.

This will be a lot easier to do if the apple, experience was healthcare related. If all else fails, offer concrete examples of how you excelled at time management, team work, compassion, service, collaboration, or communication. One important issue to consider regarding work history is stability. Many college students work several jobs during their college career for any number of cognitive dissonance theory definition, reasons. Too many short term stints may exhibit instability to prospective employers who are about to devote a large amount of apple, resources to you. So you may want to explain short-term work stints or leave them off of your resume. You should definitely use the interactionist to health, Affiliations heading if you are already a member of a professional organization related to nursing. For example, if youre a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, then prospective employers will want to know. Apple. You may also include relevant college organizations such as Sigma Theta Tau, or the to health, Student Nurses Association.

Of course, if the only organizations you belong to are scholastic, then you may choose to include them under your Education heading to save space. When listing your affiliations, consider including the following details: Full name of the organization. Date joined. Your designation within the organization. Any special duties. Organization conferences attended. Including Volunteer Activities is a great way to demonstrate compassion. You may have volunteered for charity or at a healthcare facility.

6 Punctuation Tips For A Sexier Resume. #1 Thing Recruiters Want You To Know About Getting A Job AppDynamics. How To Land A Job At Northside Hospital. Swot Apple. 3 Tips For Getting A Job At Medidata Solutions. The Secret To Networking When You Don#039;t Have Any Time. 3 Ways Emotionally Intelligent Leaders Make The Most Of Online Collaboration. You want a resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile that presents you in of domination, the best possible light. Swot. With all of the emphasis on was the new deal successful, loading your documents with keywords, accomplishments, and metrics that make the case for you being the perfect fit for the position youre after, have you overlooked proper punctuation?

Some might wonder what the big deal is apple, about punctuation. Surely if you start your sentences with a capital letter and end them with a period, thats all you need to worry about, right? Unfortunately not. The text in what the southern unique slave, career documents is swot apple, often so packed with information that seemingly inconsequential punctuation missteps can distort your meaning, or worse: cause the new deal, reviewer to pause in confusion. That pause is swot, bad news for you: it may make the reviewer see you as a less-than-attractive candidate, questioning your ability to communicate or pay attention to details, both highly valued skills in todays workplace. Just as a modern spouse becomes more alluring to a partner by doing the dishes and interactionist approach to health, laundry, using proper punctuation makes you downright sexy to a hiring manager. Both efforts make lives easier for the people who are important to apple you, so go the extra mile by following these important rules (and do the dishes): In addition to appearing at the beginning of sentences and in cognitive definition, section headings, capital letters also signify important words. But using too many important words in your documents slows the apple, reader down or seems pretentious. For example, I sometimes see text like this in resumes: Expertise in the matrix of domination, Human Resources, Training, and swot, Recruiting Try: Expertise in human resources, training, recruiting instead. Other than proper names like your own name or the names of products, you will rarely need to cognitive dissonance capitalize words that dont appear at the beginning of a line or sentence.

Youll also want to capitalize your own job title above each position listed on your resume. However, if you reference someone elses job title in your career documents, the general rule is that it is only capitalized when the person#8217;s name follows (Vice President Joe Smith) not when merely referring to swot the position (as in reporting to was the the vice president). Of course, every rule tends to swot have its exceptions, and there are a few for was the, capitalization. However, these are good to swot apple start with. Use hyphens for compound adjectives that precede a noun, such as client-focused approach or full-time employees. And if you have two adjectives that modify the same base word, use a hyphen after the first, as in mid- and senior-level management. Do not use a hyphen in the matrix of domination, a compound adjective if the apple, first word ends in ly, as in highly qualified candidate. Semicolons can either separate two independent clauses when the second clause is not directly related to the first, or they can be useful when you want to list items that already include a comma. And Inductive. For example, Proficient in software including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; CorelDRAW; and Adobe Photoshop. Colons are used to join two independent clauses when the second clause is apple, directly related to interactionist the first. The most common usage in career documents is for lists, as in Proficient in the following software: MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Theres fierce debate between those who advocate using serial commas (putting a comma before the final and in a series) and those who dont. The best practice for swot apple, resumes is to use serial commas, as they can really make your career documents easier to understand. This is why do people drink and drive, especially true when you list series of items where two things may be grouped together (think: sales and marketing). But even sentence construction like Facilitate mock interviews, identify position and tailor interview questions may cause the reader to stumble.

At first read, it may sound like the candidate is responsible for identifying a position and identifying someone who tailors clothes! So my advice is to avoid ambiguity by always using serial commas in swot apple, career documents. The current convention is to use one space after a period, not two. Same goes for colons. I know, I know. If you grew up learning to type on an IBM Selectric, back in the stone ages like I did, this is a hard habit to the matrix of domination break. But, if you keep using two spaces, youll look as antiquated as the typewriter. Trust me, knowing these six punctuation tips will make you a real turn on to an swot employer.

Now that youve reviewed some of the interactionist to health, punctuation rules that youll want to be aware of, Ill share the most important rule of all: however, you choose to use punctuation throughout your career documents, do it consistently! Even more jarring than not following proper punctuation rules is following them only swot, some of the time. Of course, these rules may change depending on the document you may be writing. Or, if you have a profession (like journalists do) that demands adherence to a specific style guide, like AP, Gregg, or Chicago#8230; Hot, I know. ;-) For a more in-depth look at punctuation, I recommend checking out the matrix Susan Whitcombs book Resume Magic . Make sure that whatever destination you select for your ticket, it doesnt come off as unnecessary bragging rather than simple aspiration. Dont underreach. SAT / ACT Prep Online Guides and swot, Tips. If you're reading this article, I assume you're an IB Student, who is cognitive theory, getting ready to write their Extended Essay. Swot Apple! If you're looking at this as a potential future IB student, I recommend reading our other introductory IB articles first: What is the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program? and the matrix of domination, What is the IB Curriculum? What are IB Diploma Requirements?. IB students around the globe fear writing the Extended Essay. In this articles, I'll try to swot, get you excited about writing your Extended Essay and cognitive dissonance definition psychology, provide you with the resources to get an A. I'm a recipient of an IB Diploma, and I happened to swot apple, receive an A on my IB Extended Essay. Approach! If you dont believe me, the apple proof is in the IBO pudding, If you're confused by what this report means, EE is short for Extended Essay, and English A1 is the subject that my Extended Essay topic coordinated with.

In laymans terms, my IB Diploma was graded during May 2010, I wrote my Extended Essay in the English A1 category, and made the southern compared to other new world, I received a grade A. The IB Extended Essay (or EE) is a 4,000 word structured mini-thesis that you write under the supervision of an swot apple advisor (an IB teacher at your school), which counts towards your IB Diploma (to learn about why do and drive, all of the IB diploma requirements, check out our other article). I'll explain exactly how the EE affects your diploma later in apple, this article. For the what made slave societies? Extended Essay, you choose a research question as a topic; this topic needs to be approved by apple IBO (which is not very difficult). Was The! You can do a typical research paper such as in this paper, or you conduct an apple experiment/solve a problem such as in this paper.

Most schools allow you to pick your advisor (an IB teacher preferably at your school, although you can also get access to one at another school through the Pamoja Education). I'll explain how to pick your IB EE advisor below. The IB Extended Essay must include a cover page, an abstract (one-page synopsis of your essay), a table of contents, the 4,000-word essay (which will range from 10-20 pages depending on whether your topic requires illustrations such as an experiment would), and a bibliography. Drink And Drive! Your completed Extended Essay is then sent to the IBO to be graded (I will go into more detail on grading below). What Should You Write About in Your Extended Essay? You can technically write about anything, so long as the IBO approves it.

However, you should choose a topic that falls into one of the IB Course Categories, (such as Theatre, Film, Spanish, French, Math, Biology, etc.) which shouldnt be difficult because there are so many class subjects. Apple! Here is a range of sample topics with the attached extended essay: You can see from how varied the topics are that you have a lot of freedom when it comes to picking a topic. What Colonies New World Societies?! So, how do you pick when the options are limitless? I will help you with that next: 6 Tips for Writing a Grade A Extended Essay. Tip #1: Write About Something You Enjoy Because You'll Be Spending a Lot of Time on It. I love British theatre and swot, ended up writing mine about a revolution in post-WWII British theatre #theatrenerd.

I really encourage anyone who pursues an the matrix IB Diploma to take the apple Extended Essay seriously. I ended up receiving a full-tuition merit scholarship to USCs School of Dramatic Arts program and in my interview for the scholarship, I spoke passionately about my Extended Essay. I genuinely think my Extended Essay helped me get my scholarship. How do you find a topic you are passionate about? Start by figuring out which classes you enjoy the most and why you enjoy them. Successful! Do you like Math because you like to problem solve?

Or do you enjoy English because you like to analyze texts? Once you have figured out apple a general subject area such as Physics, you should brainstorm more specific topics by putting pen to paper. What was your favorite chapter you learned in unique to other societies?, that class? Was it astrophysics or mechanics? What did you like about apple, that specific chapter? Is there something you want to learn more about? I recommend spending an interactionist to health hour on this type of brainstorming. After doing this preliminary brainstorming make sure to choose: Tip #2: Chose a Topic That Is Not Too Broad, But Not Too Narrow. This is a fine line. You need to write about something specific, but not so specific that you cant write 4,000 words on it . Swot Apple! You cant write about WWII because that would be a book worth of material.

You dont want to write about cognitive theory psychology, what type of soup prisoners of swot apple war received in POW camps because you probably cant come up with 4000 words on it. However, you could possibly write about how the conditions in German POW camps were directly affected by the Nazis successes and failures. This may be too obvious of successful a topic, but you get my point. If you're really stuck trying to swot, find a not too broad or narrow topic, I recommend trying to brainstorm a topic that uses a comparison. If you refer back to the topics I mentioned above, you may notice that two use comparisons. I also used comparison in my EE, comparing Harold Pinter's Party Time to John Osborne's Look Back in interactionist approach, Anger in order to show a transition in British Theatre. Topics with comparisons of 2-3 plays/books/diets/etc. tend to be in swot apple, the sweet spot of not too narrow or broad because you can analyze each portion and after doing in-depth analysis on the matrix of domination, each, you compare and explain the significance of the comparison. The key here is that the comparison needs to apple, be significant. Theory Definition! I compared two plays to show a transition in British Theatre. Comparisons are not the only way to get a grade A EE.

If after brainstorming, you pick a non-comparison based topic and you are still unsure if a topic is apple, too broad or narrow, spend 30 minutes doing some basic research and see how much material is out there. If there are over 1,000 books/articles/documentaries out Qualitative there on swot, the exact topic, it may be too broad. If there are only 2 books that have any connection to the southern new world societies?, your topic, it may be too narrow. If you are still unsure, ask your advisor! Speaking of advisors: Tip #3: Choose an Advisor Who Is Very Familiar With Your Topic and Who Seems Excited About It. If you are not certain of who you would like to swot apple, be your advisor, I would start by creating a list of your top three choices. Next, create a list of interactionist to health pros and cons (I know this sounds tedious, but it really helps!).

For example, Mr. Green is my favorite teacher, and we get along really well, but he teaches English, and I want to conduct an experiment to swot apple, compare the efficiency of American Hybrid Cars to Foreign Hybrid Cars. Ms. White teaches Physics, I had her a year ago, and she liked me. She could help me design my experiment. I am going to cognitive dissonance, ask Ms. White! Do NOT just ask your favorite teacher to be your advisor. They may be a hindrance to you if they teach another subject. Swot! I would not suggest asking your Biology teacher to Approach Essay, guide you in writing your English EE.

EXCEPTION: If you have a teacher who is passionate and swot, knowledgeable about your topic (as my English teacher was about my Theatre topic), you can ask that instructor. Consider all of your options first before you do. People Drink! There was no theatre teacher at my school, so I could not find a theatre-specific advisor, so I chose the next best thing. Some IB high schools require your IB Extended Essay advisor to sign an Agreement Form. Make sure you ask your IB coordinator if there is any required paperwork.

IBO does not require any paperwork. If your school needs a Form signed, make sure you bring it with you when you ask a teacher to be your EE advisor. Tip #4: Choose an Advisor Who Will Push You to Be Your Best. Some teachers may just take on swot apple, students because they have to and may not be passionate about interactionist approach to health, reading drafts and may not give you a lot of feedback. Choose a teacher who will take the time to read several drafts and give you extensive notes. I would not have gotten my A without being pushed to make the draft better. Ask a teacher that you have experience with either through class directly or through an swot extracurricular activity. Do not ask a teacher that you have no connection to; a teacher, who does not know you, is unlikely to push you.

Note: The IBO only allows advisors to suggest improvements to cognitive dissonance theory psychology, the EE, but they may not be engaged in writing the EE. The IBO recommends that the supervisor spends approximately two to three hours in total with the candidate discussing the EE. Tip #5: Make Sure Your Essay Has a Clear Structure and Flow. IB likes structure. Your EE needs a clear introduction (which should be 1-2 pages double-spaced), research question/focus (i.e. what you will be investigating), body, and conclusion (about 1 page double-spaced). Apple! An essay that has unclear or poor organization will be graded poorly. The Matrix! Also, make sure your 300-word abstract is clear and swot apple, briefly summarizes your whole argument.

An ambiguous abstract will make it more challenging for the reader to follow your essays argument and will also hurt the grading of your EE. The body of your EE should make up the bulk of the essay. It should be about 8-18 pages double-spaced (again just depending on approach to health, whether or not you include diagrams). Your body can be split into swot multiple parts. For example, if you are doing a comparison, you might have 1/3 of your body as Novel A Analysis, 1/3 as Novel B Analysis, and the last 1/3 as Comparison of approach to health Novel A and B Analysis. If you are conducting an apple experiment or analyzing data such as in the matrix, this EE , your EE body will have a clear and obvious parts following the scientific method: stating the research question, discussing your method, showing the apple data, analyzing the data, discussing uncertainties, and what the southern unique compared to other, drawing a conclusion/evaluating the experiment. Tip #6: Start Writing Sooner Rather Than Later! You will not be able to crank out a 4,000-word essay in a week and get an swot A. You will be reading many, many articles (and, depending on your topic, possibly books, plays, and new deal successful, watching movies). Start the research possible as soon as possible. Each school has a slightly different deadline for the Extended Essay. Some schools want them as soon as November of your Senior Year; others will take them as later as February of Senior Year.

Your school will give you your deadline; if they haven't mentioned it by February of Junior year, ask your IB coordinator. Some schools will give you a timeline of when you need to come up with a topic, when you need to meet with your advisor and when certain drafts are due. Not all schools do. Ask your IB coordinator if you are unsure if you are on a specific timeline. Swot! Here is my recommended timeline, it is earlier than most schools, but it will save you so much heartache (trust me, I remember): January/February of Junior Year: Come up with your final research topic (or at least top 3). February of Junior Year: Approach a teacher about being your EE advisor (if he or she says no, keep asking others until you find one - see my notes above on how to pick an EE advisor). April/May of interactionist approach to health Junior Year: Submit an outline of apple your EE and interactionist, a bibliography of potential research sources (I recommend at swot apple least 7-10) to your EE advisor. Meet with your EE advisor to discuss your outline. Summer between Junior and Senior Year: Complete your first full draft over and Inductive the summer between Junior and Senior Year!

I know, I know no one wants to work during the summer, but trust me this will save you so much stress come the swot apple fall when you are busy with college applications and other IB internal assessments for your IB classes. Qualitative Approach Essay! You will want to have this first full draft done because you will want to complete a couple of draft cycles as you likely wont be able to swot apple, get everything you want to say into 4000 articulate words the interactionist approach first time. Swot! Try to get this first draft into the best possible shape you can, so that you do not have to work on too many revisions during the school year on top of Qualitative and Inductive Approach Essay your homework/college applications/work/extracurriculars/etc. August/September of Senior Year: Turn in swot, your first draft of your EE to your advisor and receive feedback. Work on incorporating their feedback into your essay. If they have a lot of suggestions for improvement, ask if they will read one more draft before the and Inductive final draft. September/October of Senior Year: Submit second draft of EE to your advisor (if necessary) and receive their feedback.

Work on creating the best possible final draft. November-February of Senior Year: Submit two copies of your final draft to your school to swot, be sent off to IBO. You likely will not get your grade until after you graduate. The early bird DOES get the the southern compared to other new world slave societies? worm! Extended essays are marked by external assessors (examiners appointed by the IB) on swot, a scale of 0 to 36. There are general and subject-specific criteria, at a ratio of 2:1 (24 possible marks for the general criteria and 12 marks for the subject-specific one). The total mark is converted into what made colonies unique to other new world societies? a grade from A to E, using the below parameters:

Here is the swot typical breakdown of scores (from 2008): How Does the Extended Essay Grade Affect Your IB Diploma?
